this is my third week taking met and I'm now up to 1500 mg/day with a goal of 2000 mg/day. initially my fasting BG was elevated. now my fasting is high normal, and postprandial is normal. can met work this fast? has it worked this fast for anyone else?

is This ok? If I take my 3 doses all at once when I go to bed .... I miss the whole stomach and wooziness of it... Anyone else do that? And do you get the same results as spreading it out during the day?

Does anyone know how long it takes metformin to really start working in your system? I was on it before and it made me super sick and really did nothing for my ovulation but, I want to try again in conjunction with Clomid this time and I was trying to figure out how long I should be on the met before starting cycles of clomid. Anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks!

My doctor told me to stay on the met 3 months and if I am not pregnant by then-then we can start the Clomid. Just what mine told me!

Cool af question

Hey ladies,
I was wondering if any of you experienced this when taking met. I have been on met since oct 31st. I take 2000 mg a day. I started spotting really really lightly in the begining of upping my dose for the second time for a few days and now i have discharge that is like a yellow color in a way. Before getting on met I didn't have a period on my own for a lot of years. So I'm hoping this will bring aunt flo on full force so i can be regulated and have my own baby to love and cherish. I appreciate all the advice and tips that you have to offer. Thank you my lovely sisters.

Thanks so much for putting this together. There were a lot of helpful tips that I am going to try out. And the reminder to drink water is a lot more important than it looks!

When my doc said there would be a possibility of GI disturbance, including nausea and vomiting, "and MAYBE diarrhea", I shrugged it off.

Met isn't kidding around. I've had several, uh, scares, and have decided to pack around extra clothes wherever I go. I think I'm goin' panty-shopping today, just in case. >.<

Not the excuse I'd REALLY like to be able to go shopping for ANY clothes, but hey, I guess I'll take it.

I just started Glucophage xr and am hoping I can tolerate it better than the regular glucophage. I am trying some herbs from the natureopath as well.
I am going to change my shift at work so I can have more time to go to the gym and walk. The way it is I work and sleep and have gained weight. So I am hoping the meds and a new schedule will help. It makes me very sleepy.....
hope everyone had a great holiday
