I took two of theses in April, the first one came back @ 7.5 so I was sent for another and it was 7.7, so now my GP says it was only slighly high but I need to take a GTT but that is not till the end of August...

Are those results bad or average?

A little above average <7 is normal with 5 being average

I did some checking, even in the uk, that 7.5 is slightly high. They like to see diabetics under 7. I'm at a 6.3 with the three month study, and my daily would be about the same, as that's the average. My fasting this morning in your terms is.... a 6.9... so I'm edging up there.

For US members the 7.5 is equivalent to 135. Our fasting diabetes diagnosis generally comes at 126, or 6.9ish...

i just had my blood pull the other week. my doctor is happy that i have hit 6.4 every 90 days since the begining of this year.
