Default Fasting Sugar Levels & Glucophage

Ok.... I haven't had my glucopahge since delivering my twins almost 2 years ago. I haven't been feeling very well so I decided to see what my fasting levels were this morning and they were 101. Is that on the high end? I am wondering if I should get back on my Glucophage? I do have PCOS (diag at 17yr old) and I am considered Type II Diabetes- or at least I was while tyring to get pregnant. During my pregnancy I had to go on insulin....

Also- her ein the last 6 months or so I have developed skin tags ALL over my face, eye lids, and neck. Could this be from not taking my Glucophage and my levels not being in check???

Any Thoughts?????

Thanks!
April

101 is still high, it's in the prediabetes or early diabetes stages. but it's still too high first thing in the morning. i'm guessing based on that, and the fact that you have pcos and those IR related symptoms you doctor will tell you to get back on met. the skin tags in itself are a sign that youre insulin isn't under control. my advise: don't put it off like i did because it will only get worse without treatment.

I agree with bec415. My Dr. told me they lowered the fasting levels and 101 is now high. Also, the tags are an indication of high insulin. I get them on my neck and underarms -- along with that lovely discolored skin.
