I bought a pair of jeans the other day. When I tried them on they were very tight. I was turning and looking in the mirror and then I seen it. The pooch. I thought about this thread when I seen it. I took the jeans back and got another size. The pooch is still there but not as bad. I just had to laugh when I seen it.

I have always complained about it to my husband. I think it has to do with the whole "Fat Stored around the Abdomen" thing...

My Mood: Points: 5,839.99 Bank: 4,092.30 Total Points: 9,932.29 | Me too, but I've never felt bad about it. I had a chubby one when I was thin and now it's really noticeable that I'm not so thin. But the last time I felt inseure about it was probably 9th grade. Since then, every single guy (most of my friends are men and it's always been that way) I've ever asked about it has told me that they love it when they see a camel toe or fat "area" on a girl. My current bf of 7 years told me it was one of the things he was attracted to most in a woman, just how some men are "leg" men or "boob" men, etc. There are also "mons" men, LOL! The only people I've ever known to have a problem with it are women. Women talk about other women when they see it. Women feel bad about themselves when they have one. I say embrace and celebrate it! Finally, something that has to do with pcos that is good!

My Mood: Points: 11,525.41 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 11,525.41 | wow I never thought that so many would post that yes you too have extra fat in an area that most women don't have fat. I went to a plastic surgeon a year or so ago after I got down to my goal weight and showed it to him. He said he saw it a lot in women who had gastic bypass because it's just another area where fat can be stored and of course, there aren't muscles for you to "work out", and of course the body chooses where it takes stored fat from.. so there is no way of "getting rid of it" on your own.. I just hate it.. it really annoys me. I'm overjoyed to find other women who rejoice in it, who love having it. who don't feel "different". I think that is great and I'd love to share your joy, but for me.. it's something i've had my entire life (thin or thick) and wearing bathing suits has always been a horrible experience for me and now that I'm thin again, wearing tight jeans, skirts, dresses it shows through. I'm seriously thinking about having lipo there, I've seen it on tv a few different times so I know it's not completely uncommon as I once thought.. anyway.. thanks for all your comments.. ladies we rock!

Perhaps when my belly goes down, that area will too?

I am still a littleoverweight right now but even when I wasn't this was a problem for me, it also creates a bit of a, um, well, the thing that would happen if my pants were too tight happens with loose pants for me, do you know what I mean?

I just thought that when I lost weight, it would go away. I agree with others, this is the kind of info that makes me feel less insecure and lets me know that I am not alone. There is nothing on SC that hasn't been discussed ;o) I love it. Thank you all
