Default Fatty Liver Anyone?

When I went for my last ultrasound a few months back, my doc said I had a bit of Fatty Liver. She said it was nothing to be concerned about, as it was from the "extra weight" & when I lost the pounds, it would go away.

I never thought to ask this, as I truly have faith in my doc, but just thinking about it now, I'm wondering if anyone else has it, or has any info they can share.

I'm not worried about, just curious.

TIA!

Yep - well maybe. Family doctor seems to think levels indciate I do - but when he wanted to refer me to a specialist - I didn't have insurance so I was going to try and see what continuing what I was already doing would do - as in continuing to work out and eat better, which I had already been doing for some time.

I was due for more bloodwork when I found out I was preggers and recenlty had my levels checked and am doing good so far.

I would say it depends on what your levels are. If they are really high - you will need to modify your diet pretty drastically - I believe no dairy, etc. Have you just been diagnosed?

My doc said the same thing. The only other thing she did say was that ELE can be serious. Not sure which comes first anyway, fatty or ELE.
I don't drink, and can't understand what causes this fatty liver?
