Hi Ladies,

I was wondering if any of you have fatty liver that devloped before you became pregnant. If so how did pregnancy effect your liver?

I saw a liver specialist and asked this exact question. He told me it wasn't an issue and to not give it a second thought. So I haven't

Thats awesome Sandra. My liver was slightly enlarged and it caused me some discomfort. My levels were a little high but nothing to bad. The gastro dr. said Fatty liver. I have lost 60 pounds since August and the last results I had. This PG is a total surprise! So of course I am worring about everything. I was just supposed to have my liver restested. My family dr requested that the OB check those during my other lab work.

My liver enzymes are ridiculously high. Like 4 times what the upper end of normal is. The specialist just said that PCOSers are predisposed to fatty liver and as long as I tried to maintain a normal weight and exercise (which I do), there's not much else that can be done.
