hi every one one i went to hospital for the lump on my breast and i was told it was a fatty lump and sent me away whats a fatty lump and what can they do to remove it ???????
I dont have any on my breasts, but I have one on my left hip. Basically, it is what it sounds like-a lump of fat. For some reason, fat likes to collect in particular areas on some of us. Thats all it is. Losing weight gets rid of it. I know that is easier said than done. Anyway, I am sure if you wanted it could be surgically removed. But in my opinion, it wouldnt be worth the money, pain, and scarring. Good luck!
God bless,
Lisa

Meds: Meformin 2000mg/day, provera as needed. "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."- Psalm 34:17-18
Recheck with your plastic surgeon that did your reduction, I had one done years ago and have had many problems with fat deposits from scar tissue over the years, Mine isnt painful but it was uncomfortable with a bra.
Hi, I have had a fatty tumor removed from the back of my neck 2 times. Each time the doctor could not remove all of it because it gets wrapped around blood vessels and nerves and branches out. It is called a lipoma. I have a gained a lot of weight and it has grown bigger. I have given up on surgery.

i've never heard the term 'fatty lump' but i have heard fatty tumor as i have one on the small of my back. i first noticed it when i was 19 (and incidently weighed 165). dr said it wasn't serious, i could have it removed if i wanted to but my step dad had one also under his left (or right) breast and he had it removed...but it came back. i can't see paying good money to have it removed only for it to come back. maybe if i was model or somethng...lol i can't remember what the doc said causes them though...it was 15 yrs ago.

yeah but it hurts so bad i never had a fatty lump before the lump looks like its still growing my breast looks so weird as one boob is alot bigger then the other one
I have never heard of it being a fatty lump but rather a fatty tumor, medically referred to as a lipoma. I had one when I was 17 and chose to have it removed. I chose to do it for many reasons. It was on my stomach and was beginning to be painful. It was ugly too. Anyway, since the tumor, which is totally benign, was not underneath the muscle, recovery was not bad at all. You do have some pain as with any type of cut. Overall, I am glad I did it. I haven't had anymore trouble since then, and that was 5 years ago. Good luck.
