i am addicted to Cosmopolitian.. and for others of you that are as well and have every issue from jan to dec. i didn't know that if you put them in order (jan-dec) that the side of them makes a picture

.. lol anyways.. i was just going to post something that i found in my cosmopolitian magazine...

How Oral Contraceptives Affect Your Cancer Odds

Taking the pill appears to reduce your cancer risk-- specifically uterine, ovarian and bowel cancer--reports a recent study. Previous researchers has also found that women on the pill have lower odds of developing certain cancers, but this new study further concluded that if a woman goes on the pill at some point in her life, she may lessen her overall cancer risk. One caveat: Woman who popped the pill for more than 8 years had slightly higher cancer rates, mainly for cervical and central nervous system cancers. If your closing in on a decade of pill use, study researchers suggest being vigilant about getting regular cancer screenings.

oh wow. I hadn't read my whole issue yet...that gives me something to think about..i've been on birth control for 6 years (excluding pregnancy). that's a tad bit scary.

i was just flipping through mine.. i usually do that before reading the whole thing front to back.. i'll skim through it at the store even though i know im going to buy it.. and then when i get home i read some of it.. so it takes me about the whole month to read it from front to back before the next one comes out.. the thing i like about cosmopolitian is.. they start putting out the next months issue at the end of the month before..
