Feel great 3 wks into Byetta, now Dr. says move up dose Hi, it's my first month on Byetta 5mcg. I'm IR and borderline diabetic. So far I feel good, with appetite slashed down and can eat 3 small meals with minimal nausea. The biggest change is my energy levels are more steady. I'm also sleeping well, my mood is improved, and I desire a wider variety of healthy foods. All positive things.
My dr. is eager for me to move to the 10mcg. dose and I have to fill the script this coming week. I know it's likely to cause greater nausea. Does anyone know if it's like Met, where you need to move up doses sloooowly or else risk trouble? I have a history of severe Met diarrhea at high doses and I'm worried I will wear out my welcome with Byetta if I move too fast. Any thoughts?
