Default feel weak while working out

Im not sure what can be wrong but I was at the gym today and i was working out for 20 min then my whole body felt like it was gonna give up. I felt like i was gonna faint or something and i never had that problem before. I have been on Metformin and bc and i have been watching my diet, has anyone ever had this problem or could suggest what can be wrong?

Did you have enough to eat - could it be low blood sugar? Also, are you drinking enough? If you are working out, make sure you are pushing fluid.

Your blood sugar can drop independent of diabetes. Are you eating enough during the day? A girl at the gym almost collapsed the other day during a chisel class and it turned out that she was dieting. Her body just didn't have enough fuel to do what she wanted it to do. Talk to your doctor if you are worried. Good luck!

What's your normal workout routine - did you just start one, or have you been consistent for a while? Do give a little more details about that...

I been working on and off for the last 6 years but i havent worked out in 3 weeks so i just started back up. My normal workout routine is 30 min on the treandmeil and 30 min on the elipticle machine. Then I do some leg and arm routines for tone up. I been on a diet too. I eat little portions throughout the day and low carbs if any at all. I been trying to eat really healthy like vegatable, fruits, and greens. I went to the gym again today and did 45 min cadio then started feeling weak throughout my body again. It feels like anxioty through my body for an example.

Eat about an hour or two before you go to the gym. Make sure you get some protein along with a piece of fruit and maybe some fats in the form of some nuts. Also, make sure you are getting enough calories overall throughout the day. You want to be in a calorie deficit but not so much of one that you're not able to kick butt in workouts. If you're eating before going to the gym, are sure you're getting enough calories overall, it could also be because you're switching from a higher to lower carb diet. That can also result in some pretty awful feeling workouts (especially cardio) about a week or two into it. It does get better pretty quickly. If you continue to feel like poo in your workouts and it doesn't get better, go see your doctor.

I get like that, if I don't eat before working out (if it's close to meal time). I completely agree with everyone above.

I only feel shaky when I don't eat. I do get weak towards the end of my workouts though, but its because I am wore out from exercising. You should have your doctor check your sugar and do some routine lab work, just to be on the safe side.
