Default feeling bloated

I dont know what it is just now but i am so bloated. I am taking vitex but thinking of stopping it, not had a period since april, even thought i was on a 40-45 day cycle before. I sometimes do feel like its on its way but nothing shows.
Does anyone know what i can take to get rid of this bloated feeling, i kinda look pregnant lol, thats how bad my belly looks.
thanks

ive always got a bloated stomach too. But ive found that since stopping eating wheat/diary (found i am intollerant to them) my bloating has gone down. I find that if i dont eat potato too much as well, my stomach seems to go down in size. Plus i eat lots of ginger which seems to help

I have the same problem. It has been a problem for a couple of years now, it seems like after just about anything I eat, I get super bloated, to the point where I look 5 months pregnant, I feel terrible and filled with pressure, my clothes get too tight, I just want to put on sweats and curl up in a ball. I have tried so many different things, I tried keeping a food diary, but couldn't find any type of pattern, I've tried gas-x, beano, garlic pills, acidopholus, water pills, and digestive enzymes. Nothing has worked, my doctor has recently told me that she thinks I have IBS, but with recently starting Met, we don't want to do much else for right now. If anyone has any advice on either preventing the bloating or getting rid of the bloating please share, I will try anything at this point!!! Thanks!

Hello all.

I have actually been feeling quite bloated lately, as well, which feels so much more uncomfortable in the summer heat. I looked online for some natural remedy tips and quite a few Web sites talked about how fennel tea is great for bloating and aides in digestion. I haven't tried it yet, but I am going to run out tomorrow and get some.

I swear I would rather have a headache or just about anything else instead of this dang bloating. It makes me so tired and useless! I'll post back soon and let you know if it works. I am crossing my fingers!

I made a post somewhere that I think vitex was delaying my period, went off for a few days and it came. I work at a natural health clinic place so I looked up vitex and it can delay your period because it raises progesterone and usually you need a drop in progesterone to get your period I think. I just wish I knew when to start it again!

So I got some fennel tea yesterday. It was really cheap. I got it at Loblaw's for like $1.30 for a pack of 20 tea bags. I have only had two cups so far and while I am not sure if it is a cure all for the bloating, it *did* make me feel a bit better.

If you like the taste of anise or liquorice, then you should like this tea. If you don't, then I would steer clear of it. I would suggest giving it a try. You really have nothing to lose and it could make you feel a bit better!

Hiya, something I take which seems to have worked WONDERS for me is natural bacteria for the tummy. As I don't eat yogurt anymore I think my stomach was lacking in the good stuff to help digest everything. I buy it as a pill that needs to be kept refrigerated and I take it daily or every second day. Since I have started to take this I feel muc much less bloated and less gassy too :O)

I hope this helps!

What kind of store did you get this pill at? Was it a health store, vitamin store, etc. And what is the name of it? I would LOVE to try it, I found a pill at the drugstore, that is specifically for the symptoms of IBS, and it seems to be doing a good job so far. But I can't eat yogurt for some reason since I started Met (it makes me sick), so if I could get the natural bacteria that I would normally get from yogurt in a pill, it would be great!
