Default Feeling scared to TTC

Hey friends,
My story is filled with bad luck ......I was diagonised with a rare type of brain tumor and had to go thru 13 hours surgery in 2001 .......Later I got pregnant in 2003 while taking metformin but then at 8 weeks lost the pregnancy and had to have a D&C. Then with the help of clomid and metformin conceived again after a year and everything went fine(continued metformin 1st trimester which I feel prevented the miscarriage) but then at 2nd trimester found out that the baby has a serious blood disorder(genetic) outcome of which is monthly blood transfusion & death at young age , so we decided to go for an abortion......just after that I had to go thru another surgery of my brain bcoz the residual brain tumor showed growth......

Sometimes I feel I must be at the middle of some nightmare which never seems to end...Now we have started trying again but then the fear of things being repeated keeps coming again & again.

You have been through so much and are a stronger person for all of it. It is totally normal to feel scared and worried about TTC again. Coming here it SC for support is a great way to work your way though those feelings! I know for me personally just talking with others that have been through the same things helps me feel better!

Take care of yourself!

I'm very sorry about your health problems and both babies! You all have been through way too much. I hope that somehow things settle down for you soon and dreams start coming true.

Trying again after a loss is terrifying. So sorry that you have to go through such an experience. I am glad you have found SC and have a place to talk about these things. So sorry for your losses.

MDcoolus,
I'm so sorry you've had to endure so much. I admire your strength and your courage to keep going. I've suffered three losses in 16 months myself, and I've been feeling like there is a dark storm cloud over me. I have a thread just for us Cysters who have suffered at least one loss and we want to TTC again. http://www.soulcysters.net/showthread.php?t=137944&page=1
It's easy to find support when you are grieving, it's easy to find support when you've never conceived. It can be hard to find the support you need when you are trying again after a loss. It's a special set of circumstances for us Cysters. I hope you can join us and walk with us on this very special journey.

Your Cyster,

Hi Phoenix Rising ,
Thank you so much for the encouragement. Its really so scary for people like us who have been thru the pain of loss but then we do not have the choice of ending our hopes too.....I am preg again(3rd preg) and everyday the fear within me is making me depressed what if I again need to go for an abortion ( we have 25% chance of baby having the genetic disorder with every preg).....but then the ray of hope that 75% of things being normal does give me encourage me.

My best wishes.

I am a firm believer that what does not kill us makes us stronger. You have been through a lot. I just know that when you do get pregnant and have a healthy baby, you will realize that you did not suffer for nothing. That baby will bring you all the happiness in the world. I will pray for you health and that all your dreams will come true
