I posted before how my doctor wanted me to get off effexor (75mg) and on wellbutrin (300mg). I was really nervous about it because I've never taken anything for my depression before and I was only on effexor for a month. (It worked at first, but then it raised my bp and gave me horrible nightmares!) I've been on wellbutrin for 2 weeks and I'm feeling so much better! I hope it continues. My bp is still up. It seems like anything I take is going to make it go up. So right now I'm trying to get my bp under control. I've also lost 15 pounds so far. This is the best I have felt in a LONG time! I'm so thankful to the ladies on here for such helpful advice, information and support!

It took three tries before they found the right anti-depressant for me ... it takes six weeks for them to possibly work and then you have to start all over again if they don't. I am so happy that you feeling better!

i'm glad your feeling so much better i know sometimes its hit and miss with antidepressants what works for some people doesn't always work for someone else
i am glad you have found one that works also hope the bp goes down soon i'm sure it will sometimes the body jst needs to adjust

Woo hoo! Congrats on finding the right medication! The Wellbutrin is also supposed to help with weight loss! I'm gladd it worked for you. It made me sick as a dog. I am so happy for you!

Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement ladies!!! I really feel like wellbutrin is the right one for me. My bp is getting a little better so hopefully it will keep going down.
