I've been on Met for a couple of weeks now and have started feeling really strange - like I'm not really here, floaty and tired. I've tried eating snacks in case it's low blood sugar but nothing helps. I'm on 1500mg of Met XR.
does anyone know what this is and what to do please?
Thanks,
Felix |

Although, every now and then I find myself feeling like that again, but it will pass after a few days. Its crappy I know, but I suppose we got to live with the side effects so that we can get better

Good luck!

I am confused now. I thought I had read somewhere on the board that Met doesn't cause low blood sugar. Can anyone clarify this for me please???
Also, should I continue to eat low carb? My doctor has advised that I eat low carb/GI but I'm wondering now if this is causing this horrid wierdness
I hope this feeling passes as I am having problems functioning,

| It doesn't low blood sugar provided that you eat enough carb for your new, more-efficent insulin using body to work on. If you eat to little, you'll go hypo. Quote: |

| People on met tend to need a bit more carb than their non-medication counter-parts. I tried doing the low-carb thing and I felt like I could sleep on the lino all day.
