Talking Well...the fluttering has stopped...

Yeah, so after I wrote that it was like a day or so and the symptoms stopped - no more fluttering. I'm thinking it's happening because I have higher than normal LH levels and the OPK tells me I'm ovulating like everyday. Maybe my uterus is freaking out or something. I'm on Metformin to help regulate my minor PCOS symptoms but we'll see how everything works out. My levels are high, I feel nauseous because of the meds, and I'm tired. I think I'm creating symptoms in my head and becoming paranoid. I hope everything is working out for you and you'll see a positive test soon!

Not to be a debbie downer or anything but I didn't start feeling the baby move until around 16-17 weeks maybe...and it was unlike any gas or other feeling I'd ever had. It was the weirdest feeling and I don't think that you can really describe it until you feel it. Some say it's like butterflies but I didn't think so.

Best of luck...

I get these too!! For about 3 years now, Its either gas or im thinking IBS in my case..Sometimes I sit in my computer chair and can feel something moving in my belly when its happening..Having PCOS and no periods at all I get scared I will be one of those people who are pregnant and never knew it until the baby is born..I am sexually active so I never know! Its terrible really, If I dont get a period for longer then 3 months I take a HPT just to be on the safe side although I almost know deep down I am not pregnant :o(

I felt something similar and I couldn't hold down food. Turned out my insides were having spasms. I had to take a pill before I ate for a bit and I have been fine eve since.

Default Fluttering in the uterus

Ok, this is weird. I too have been experiencing these fluttering sensations recently. I looked up every piece of info I could and everything said if I am not pregnant that it is normal for the uterus to spasm before or after menstruation, only one problem...I AM currently menstruating????? I have had a child before and I can see how many people are associating the sensation with pregnancy around the 5th month. Although, I can tell you this is most certainly not gas, in fact it's not even painful just highly irritating! So since, gas, pregnancy, and possibly spasms have been ruled out, what is going on??? I am 36 and I wondered if it wasnt some sort of peri-menapausal symptom? Anybody have any thoughts?

I have been having a fluttering feeling in my belly for about two years now. When I try to explain it to doctors, they look at me as if I'm crazy or something. It feels just like a baby is kicking but there is no baby. I just lost my son 3 weeks ago and I was feeling a kicking sensation although he was dead for almost 3 weeks. Its the cruelest thing ever to experience but I still have the sensations now. They still can't diagnose me with anything yet. WTF is this going on inside of me?!!

I feel that too a lot. I never felt it before I had my son, I guess because I didn't realize what a baby kicking felt like.

My doctor told me it's gas bubbles in your intestines, or muscle spasms. Women who have had a baby before often make the comparison, lol. It's certainly got a lot more frequent since I started the metformin - probably because it gives me gas.

What's creepy is that once it went on for quite a while (about an hour.) I laid back and listened to my abdomen with my stethescope and didn't hear any gas [normally the gurgling is audible.] My husband felt it too - he was like "Holy crap - it feels just like when you were pregnant."

Totally normal, apparently. Kind of disappointing, since we were TTC at the time.
