Default feels like i have to pee

okay...so it's NOT a UTI.

this has been going on for the last 3 years...in fact, before i know i had pcos. it feels like i have pressure on my bladder...like i need to pee. like something is in my urethra....does that make sense?

often when i wear pants that are a bit tighter in my waist, it worsens.

anyone have similar experiences?

i swear i saw a post with links in regards to this, but i can't find it.

i am waiting on another round of labs to come back...possibility i have adrenal exhaustion.

was not diabetic last time they tested.

Hey I have same problem. mine started about 3 years ago right after I had surgery. Would feel pressure kind of like a balloon & (extreme pain sometimes) when I have to urinate. Or I would feel the urge like I seriously had to go but then a trickle would come out. I sometimes feel a burning or sharp stabbing pain in my urethra.

Great News! It's called Intersitial Cystitis...lol All you need is a bladder analgesic & an anti-inflammatory (Elmiron) to clear it up. This can be diagnosed by going to a urologist. I had a urodynamic study then a cystoscopy, where they stick the camera into your bladder & look at it. They did some other things too. After 6 months of medication it was completely gone. I had some worse symptoms w/ mine.

However....with bad diet, weight gain, & more cysts in ovaries, & not drinking water, it's bothering me again, so I just went back on the medication.

I don't know if this is exactly what you have, however you should probably see a urologist, they can also dialate your urethra, sometimes the passage ways can become blocked (like an artery). Or it could be a small kidney stone... just food for thought.

Let me know if this helps you!

I'm so glad I came across this post. I've had this problem for a while now and haven't been able to figure out what it was. Thanks!

thanks for the response sister gbo!
i don't have any pain related with it at all...so i don't think that is what i have, however, it is an avenue to explore for sure.

mine just feels like i need to pee. like i said, if i wear pants that are a little tighter...the pressure makes it worse. i'm just really aware of it. it's so odd.

aprilwashere256 - I'm glad I posted. Do you have chat I'd luv to ask u about ur wedge resection & surgeries. And how long it took for you to heal...

wiggles- good luck getting this cleared up! A urologist might be able to help I've heard of similar conditions w/ no pain.

Take care!

Have you found any other info on this??? I've "had to pee" now for about a week. My dr. consulted with a urologist... who wants a CT done first... and then I consult with him/her. I can always pee a little tiny bit... and randomly a whole bunch.... but I can't take this... running after kids. Housework... I'm getting further and further behind...

sister GBO... 6 months to clear it up?? Where you at least pain free with the meds? That's awful and not somthing I think I can look forward to.

I'm not sure what that is. Have you found any research on urology disorders? If you can, just go directly to the urologist's office. I don't know what type of insurance you have, there are lots of procedures & tests they can run & do ct scans, etc. to figure out what it is. If your insurance permits...call a urology office & tell them it's an emergency b/c you're having problems.

Look at this link for overactive bladder: http://www.medicinenet.com/overactiv...er/article.htm

Maybe this is what you have. But best bet is find a urology center that does ct scans, x rays, & everything all in-house so you can find out soon...Sorry it's bothering you so much. My medications had less side effects than PCOS meds for me...so it wasn't that bad. Mine was moreso once I had to pee it was EXTREME urgency & pain for just a little amount. hope this helps you.
