Hey Mugsy
I'm in Calgary but I don't know of a pcos diet specialist. I did see an endocrinologist through my pregnancies who was very well informed about pcos though. PM me and I can give you her name and stuff. You can take it to your gp and ask for a referral.
Or if you're interested I know of a naturopathic dr. who is also familiar with pcos. They use diet/food, vitamins/supplements to treat the root cause, not just the symptoms. I'm kinda thinking about going that route myself.
I'm not really much help, sorry. Just mostly wanted you to know you're not alone!!
Hi Mugsy and Khryseis! I'm not in Calgary but I am in Alberta, in Wetaskiwin. I also see a naturopath. She is out of Airdrie. I could give you her name as well. The more options you have the better. Welcome to SC and I hope to see you around!
Hey Mugsy,
I found this about Calgary doctors when doing a search for something else. It may or may not be of any help but thought I would pass it along incase you hadn't read it.
I will be moving to Calgary on the 17th & hopefully other cysters will be happy to share their experiences with other Calgary area doctors.
I am looking for anyone who is from Calgary or area...are you out there??
I am feeling a little lost and don't know where to start looking for a PCOS diet specialist. Any info would be fantastic!
Thanks a bunch!
I know you posted this months ago but just thought I would add that if you call the fertility clinic at foothills hospital they actually put on a PCOS diet clinic every once in a while which is supposed to be really good. Last I checked it was $25.00.
