Default Female celebrities with excess hair

I feel bad for pointing something like this out, but I thought it might make alot of us feel better, to see a woman in the public eye with facial hair. Check out this photo of Alyssa Milano; she has dark fuzz on her jaw that she hasnt removed.

And this is Alicia Keys, with some stray chest hair. I post this becase I read on another forum that NO ONE IN HOLLYWOOD could possibly have PCOS or excess hair. While they mighn't have PCOS, female celebrities in the public eye do have excess hair and are still gorgeous, feminine women.

I've seen a few pics of Alicia Keys chest where there is obvious hair growth and some where it looks like she has waxed or shaved. I give her so much credit for not trying to hide who she is to the world. Wish I had the guts to do that!

They are such BEAUTIFUL girls. I sometimes think us girls with PCOS have even more beautiful faces, very soft features due to all of the excess estrogen!

thank you so much for your posting.
i just thought today, when i was washing my hair and it came in clumps, why all the beautiful celebs dont have to deal with facial hair, hair loss (pcos).
i love alicia keys and i never thought she have to deal with one of these problems that we have to deal every day and which makes us so sad and sometimes gives us a feeling to be not female enough.

I wonder if Alicia does have PCOS; she also suffers from bad skin which magazines have cruelly pointed out often. I used to think excess hair and acne were just 'normal' and for some they might be, but now I wonder if women who do suffer from either have PCOS. As my doctor said it affects all women differently, just because they aren't overweight, hairy, have bad skin, or thinning hair doesn't mean they don't have it.

Put it this way; most work out like mad and are on strict diets so that takes care of being overweight.

Excess hair is waxed away, or lasered off. I've seen close ups of celebrities with mustaches; e.g Tyra Banks. Hair can also be hidden with camera tricks so unless we see all these women up close, we wont know how much hair they really have.

Acne is covered with the best makeup, lighting, skin products, etc.

And thinning hair is corrected with extensions and wigs; and we'll never know if it was real hair or not. Celebrities who do wear extensions usually end up with terrible hair anyway. Jennifer Aniston said hair extensions ruined her hair. And I've read that its permanent damage and hair loss in some cases.

So with all these things considered, Hollywood mightn't be PCOS free. And of course, we'd never know it.

I've seen that photo before of Alicia Keys and just put it down to her ethnicity. Nice to know celebs have the facial hair too and aren't afraid to show it! haha

Photoshop is also a remarkable thing. If I'm having a really bad skin day, and I wind up doing some shots for avatars or sigs or something, Photoshop can take that right out. I've used it to take out a few pounds around my face, or change the hair color, any number of things. So, cameras, lighting, and photo manipulation can do crazy amazing things.

I always thought celebs were sort of immune to "flaws". That's just cool to know there is some reality in fame.

Whenever I see pics like that I wonder why someone along the way (makeup, wardrobe, hair?) didn't say "hey, you're a bit fuzzy, let's wax that right off"?

I've seen some hi-res pics of Beyonce that show her facial hair and that she wears a wig!

good on them for having the confidence to go out, i remember having fuzzy sides at 12 worse than that, bleach worked for me but until i found that i hid it with my hair, now its worse and has spread, but suppose the fact they are slim from working out etc it keeps the excess androgens in check so they dont get so bad.

Tyra Banks comes to mind as well. She has hair on her upper lip and is known to wear wigs- its obvious at her hairline at times. She also struggles with her weight.

Celebs also get weaves or hair extensions. I've considered this as well.

off the topic of PCOS, but what trick do you use in photoshop for thinning Betwixt? I just learned how to do the perfect skin and joke about being able to trim some pictures haha, just thought I would ask

I've heard that Victoria Beckham has PCOS, not that you would ever guess it considering how skinny she is.
