Are you talking about a regular endo or a reproductive endo? Are you TTC?

We are going to start trying this summer or next, depending on how my body reacts when I get off the pill (I have been on for 9 years and the last 2 times I tried to get off I immediately got ovarian cysts and my PCP made me get back on; this is also why I am looking for someone to help me get off and stay off).
Do you mean large ovarian cysts? B/c most of us have cysts all the time. I think you need to start by seeing an ob/gyn instead of a PCP. They will just know how to deal with PCOS better. When you decide to start TTC, or if you just want to go talk about starting TTC, you should visit with a reproductive endocrinologist (who is an ob/gyn who specializes in fertility problems). Dr. Ellen Wilson is at UT Southwestern medical school, and I loved her. I can't go to her anymore for scheduling reasons, but she was great and spent a lot of time discussing options with me. I now see Dr. Kathy Doody, but she is in Bedford, so may be a bit far from you. There are quite a few REs in the area, and I've heard good things about most of them (but not all).

The first time I got off the pill (7 years ago), I was in the hospital for 2 days and was told the cyst grew to the size of a grapefruit.
The second time I got off the pill (last December), I was back in the ER with 2 cysts on my right ovary. These were smaller than the first but still measurable.
Geez, sounds painful. I would definintely see at least an ob/gyn to get some help with that! Good luck!
