I stopped Femaprin early last week because I started Clomid and I didn't want to put any more Vitex in my system to possibly interfere with that. I'm not sure if I should start it back up again or not. I've started taking DCI a few weeks ago so I may stop the Femaprin for awhile and see if I get a 2nd spontaneous AF.

Lady Bug-- Both you and I are on about the same cycles...I'm on my 2nd bottle of Femaprin and getting ready for a 40 day cycle YIPPEEE...first time ever, I am always a 90 day cycle girl. I have added DCI also and this is my second week on it. Good luck to you!! I am super excited by my results so far.

Well, I only thought AF was here. It started out spotting, but that same day it was bright red flow. Then it turned to really DARK brown by that evening, and by that night, I was back to spotting again. So as of right now, still just spotting. At least I know the Femaprin is doing "something".

Well its official I am having my second AF, today is exactly 40 days,(my last AF was July 11th). I am on my second bottle of Femaprin, but this month I added DCI to the mix. I never had 2 cycles in a row and that is so promising...I am 38 years old. It is wonderful to be regular...I think it just takes awhile for these herbs to work!!

Well, I have stopped spotting so I don't know what's going on now. How's everyone else?

I'm sorry Ladybug...don't give up hope, our bodies are really screwed up and sometimes it just takes time. Also some of us have worse PCOS symptoms than others we are all different. I'm gonna just keep doing what I'm doing and see what happens, and "try" to work on my diet. I am a cattle rancher so I feel I get more than enough excercise. I also need to work on my diet soda addiction...I love my caffiene and that will be the hardest. I am hoping for another AF this month and I know it won't happen if I don't put forth some effort...so we will see. Hope you get on track soon, just keep your chin up!! : )

Default FEMAPRIN IS WORKING! (update)

hey ladies :-)

so i started taking femaprin on june 30th, 2009. i also began taking a female hormonal balance supplement on that very same day (2x per day) which contains dong quai, chasteberry and red raspberry leaves. when i started taking this combination i was already on cycle day 22. once i got to cycle day 58, i took NPC cream to induce my period because i knew that the femparin takes a while to work. so i took NPC cream, and in 7 days i got a regular 5 day AF. i never stopped taking my femaprin every single morning, followed with the female hormonal balance pill. as of yesterday on CD 28, I GOT AN AF!!!! a perfect 28 day cycle, and that hasn't happened to me in years. normally my cycles are anywhere from 35-60 days apart, even 100+ days at one point! the femaprin is definitely working and i'm pretty sure i ovulated due to CM, etc. i had sore breasts, cramping and everything starting at cycle day 14. so i am writing this to stay, STICK WITH FEMPARIN and if you have to, you should add a female hormonal balance pill as well because as you all know, our hormones are out of wack! the one i take is called Nature's Answer Female Complex pills. check them out! i am soooo psyched right now!

Wow...glad it's working for you. I am still spotting off and on. It's mainly just once a day and only when I wipe (sorry for TMI). Maybe I should go get some NPC cream and start taking the balance pill. Do you take both the Femaprin and the balance pill every day of your cycle?

I OVULATED ON FEMAPRIN!

I have never ovulated as far as i know. I mean obviously from my chart my cycle is very irregular. But that past two cycles...it seems the femaprin is doing something. It's working! I think we BD'd too late for this cycle....but from now on...i'm pretty sure that I ovulate between cd 20-24. So i need to be BD'ing around that time.

Default Vitex

I would like to thank herbsgirl for this thread. I have had PCOS since I was 17 but was not officially diagnosed with it until 6 years ago, at age 25. I am now 31 and have gone through every possible test that I can think of. I am also a nurse, and have tried many things. I did not know about vitex until 2 weeks ago while reading this thread. I had not had AF for 3 months. I started vitex 2 weeks ago and low and behold, AF arrived. I am excited because it seems to be working. I know that it is early, but I am very hopeful. Just wanted to say this thread is great. Thanks!
