Default is spotting normal?

Hi guys,

I started femaprin on 6/1 and for the past few days have been having KILLER cramps and back pain and then yesterday I had some very mild spotting but my true AF never came. I just wanted to know if this is somewhat normal and if this has happened to anyone else. I also added Dong Quai on 6/9. I'm very concerned because it seems that everyone else has gotten AF on femaprin expect for me. Has this happened for everyone else?

I think you should give it more time. At least 3 months up to 6 months. Spotting is a start. So maybe its still evening out your hormones. Every single day you take Femaprin, builds on the next day. The longer you take it, the better. It is a very slow acting herb. If you only started it on the 1st of June, then its starting to work pretty fast, in my opinion. Id just give it more time!

My doctor gave me an ovulation tester to see if anything is going on this month. He doesn't believe in femaprin. So badly want to prove him wrong!!
Hi,

I really hope you can prove your doctor wrong too, and good luck with ovulation!! My doctor didn't even know what Vitex was, and laughed when I told her it was a natural supplement.

I purchased the Lorna VDH Vitex the other day and received it today. In hindsight, I should have checked this before I ordered it, but didn't realise the dosage of each pill is only 80mg. I've now done some research online and discovered that the recommended daily dosage is around 1000mg. So, if I was to get this, I'd have to take 12 pills p/day!

What daily dosage have you been taking, and was the LVDH Vitex you had also only 80mg p/capsule? What time of day do you take it?

Do you (or does anybody else) know what the recommended daily dosage is?

I stopped breastfeeding about 4 months ago, and immediately started taking Vitex (at the time it was the Thompsons brand of 1 1000mg capsule p/day). After just a couple of weeks, I got 3 very normal periods, 28 days apart. Then, as I finished the Vitex bottle I had, we moved overseas, and I thought my cycle was back on track, I stopped taking it. My next period then came 24 days later, the next 27 days, and then about a week later I bled for a few days, got a period 2 weeks later, then 5 days later, bled very heavily for about 7 days.

I'm not sure what's going on with my body, but my cycle is a mess, and I want to get it back on track as we are TTC. I suspect its bc I stopped taking the Vitex, and hope its nothing serious.

Any info/advice you (or anyone else) might have regarding whether vitex could be a solution here, would be greatly appreciated....thanks!!!!

I have started taking femaprin within the past week, along with red raspberry extract. I have noticed that I have very bad gas. Anyone else experience this?

Default A little bit too much TMI but I need to know I'm not a weirdo....

O.K. so clearly the femaprin is doing something - I'm just not sure what. As I reported I've been having cramps and backpain which have subsided a bit but now it seems as though I'm having CM tinged with a tiny tiny bit of blood (o.k. I'm sooooooooooo sorry for the graphic description). I'm REALLY hoping AF is very very close and am wondering if this is what happens on vitex or if my cycle is just all screwed up and maybe I should give up on it. Has anyone else ever heard of this or experienced this? ANY help/info/advice anyone can offer is much appreciated. TIA!

THe main thing with Femaprin, is give it enough T-I-M-E. That is one thing I knew when I started Femaprin Vitex, i had to take it for 3 months before I could say I gave it a chance. That is just the way vitex is, patience is a big key, to see if it works for you. Dont give up, each day you take it builds on the next day!

Just wanted to update you guys. I bought some OPK. The first 7 or so I took the test line was barely visible. On Tuesday morning I took one and the test line and control line were basically the same color! So I'm pretty sure that I should be Oing today or tomorrow but I took another test today and the test line went back to barely being there. So I have a question could that test that looked positive been a fluke or does your LH surge come and go in one day? The right side of my lower abdomen is sore and aches a little bit has been since Tuesday, my CP is high but not very soft, its softer than usual but not as soft as I thought it should be, and my CM is not EWCM. Its wet but not slippery. I don't know if I can trust the OPK. But with the aches around where my ovaries are, the positive OPK vs the negative ones I had before I want to believe it, but I doubt it at the same time. I'm currently at CD17 so I would think I should O around this time. I dunno my body gives me conflicting signals. Anyone have any opinions? I know the vitex worked to bring AF and I know it could help me O but Im just so conflicted right now. I dont know if I can trust my body or the OPK.

Hi!! Can i join you? I have been taking the vitex tincture but I want to switch to the pills, and after doing some research i decided that Femaprin is the way to go. Then i found you guys...lol I have about another week of the tincture left. So I'm going to order the Femaprin today that way I have it ready to take when this runs out. Whats a good dose to start off with? Thanks!!

ETA:: Ok, so I started looking for the Femaprin online, and I'm totally confused. If you go to vitaminshoppe.com, luckyvitamin.com, webvitamins.com, vitamintree.com, and iherb.com it says that the Femaprin vitex they sell are made by Nature's Way. But I was under the impression that the vitex Nature's Way makes is different than Femaprin. So I'm confused now.

ETA PART2:: Ok so I just went to vitacost.com and when I put in Femaprin in the search bar, the only Femaprin that came up was made by Nature's Way again. i found about 4 other sites besides the ones I previously listed that only sell Femaprin made by Nature's Way. Ok, so is there a difference between Nature's Way vitex and Nature's Way Femaprin? Now I'm TOTALLY confused. I really thought the vitex by Nature's Way wasnt as good as Femaprin, but if they make Femaprin, then should I buy it from them? *sigh*

my2babies9806- Dont be confused!!!!!! Nature's Way is the only company that produces Femaprin! (besides the Madaus in Germany) Femaprin is imported from Germany and has the Nature's Way label on it, but the vitex extract in it is from Madaus, the world famous vitex company (located in Germany I think). Nature's Way also sells another vitex, but it is not the same! You have the right product if it says Nature's Way Femaprin!

Nature's Way has a group of products called Phytomedicines. I think Phytomedicines are natural products/herbs that are based and proven on clinical studies. The Femaprin is included in this, because of all the clinical studies I suppose. It is considered a Pharmaceutical grade product, so you are getting high class vitex!

Quote
Natures Way Phytomedicines are the worlds most scientifically advanced and clinically researched herbal medicines with proven effectiveness.

There is only one dose- ONE capsule per day in the morning with water.
Sometimes I buy it from iherb, sometimes Luckyvitamin, and sometimes Vitacost. Its cheap no matter where I get it.

Welcome, and keep us updated on how it goes for you!

i dont know if you can get Nature's Way Femaprin in the UK or not, but I recomend these places.....

I copied and pasted this link from the FAQ about Femaprin in the first post in this thread.......
Where can I get Femparin?

On a personal note, I get Femaprin from Vitacost.com usually, sometimes from iherb.com

Here are links to a few websites that are good to purchase it from, but you can get it alot of places on the internet.

http://www.iherb.com/Nature-s-Way-Fe...ules/1945?at=0
http://www.vitacost.com/Natures-Way-...in-60-Capsules
http://www.evitamins.com/product.asp?pid=3553
http://www.drugstore.com/qxp69616_332828_sespider

Vitacost.com will ship to 44 different countries, including canada, US, Australia, and many more.....

I would like to join in on this. I received my Femaprin in the mail today so I'll be starting it tomorrow. I'm currently on CD 66 and have been spotting off and on for the past 15 days (spotted for 6 days, didn't spot for 4 days, and have been spotting for 5 days so far again). I have had LOTS of EWCM with the last 5 days of spotting so I don't know what that's all about. Hopefully, the Femaprin will bring AF and regulate my cycles.
