Baby Dreams, hopefully you get your AF soon.

Mine has been delayed also, but I believe the reason mine is delayed is because I need to be on a insulin sensitizer in addition to Femaprin. I have never been on Metformin, but I am trying Inositol, and losing wieght mainly.

Krisskross- you could try 2 per day, but maybe be cautious with it, watch for side effects ect, scince it would be double the dose. I have actually read of a women taking two Femaprin Daily, she said she started taking 2 pills a day, and then went down as she needed less. But the chances of side effects are higher, I suppose.

I seen DIM Plus and Red Raspberry Leaves poeple mentioned taking with Femaprin for cycle regularity, ect. I would recomend trying it if Femaprin alone is not cutting it quite as much as you like. Sometimes a Synergystic blend of two or more products is better than one alone. MommaKath at TTC.com recomends a Synergystic blend of Vitex and Red Raspberry Leaves for ultimate hormonal balance, ect. So I guess it probably would work. I do have some RR here.

ladybug- Welcome!

I actually heard this as well, which is why I take the mixture I take. The vitex and red raspberry leaf are excellent for regulating cycles and hormones and also helping bring on O. The Damiana makes your ovaries softer and lining more receptive to implantation. The EPO pills help make fertile cm as well as protect the sperm so they can travel safer to the egg and also help with af pain and symptoms. The Red Clover helps with cycle regulation and bringing on O. I did ALOT of research and found that a mixture of several herbs is better than just one, as long as you make sure they compliment each other and not counter-act each other. I will be changing the vitex to Femaprin, but other than that I'm super happy with my combo.

Skye- I've been taking 2 femaprin each day w/o any side effects. My thinking is that it will build up the levels fasting in my system. Also, I took the Red Raspberry leaf and I had horrible gas with it. I stopped taking it and I haven't had the gas since. I am going to try taking it again in a few days, and start it a little slower this time to see what happens.

Thumbs up

Welllllllllllllllllll my Femaprin came in yesterday!!!!
I took it as soon as I got in the house lol (around 5:30pm)
I took another one first thing in the morning and will start taking them first thing in the morning from now on!!
BUT
from reading all the posts...I know I have to be patient b/c the natures way Vitex never seem to work for me!
I took it since January and still have yet to see a real AF! The only sign I saw while on Vitex was a little spotting after the first month but I never ended up having AF from it!
Anywho..I am feeling optimistic about Femaprin!
I have lost almost 30lbs since January so I hope that contibutes to some success with getting AF and maybe even ovulation (COULD YOU IMAGINE????)

I will keep you all posted!!

Bless!

Mschin- at least 3 months to see if Femaprin actually works, at a minimum. Weight loss always helps me ovulate and get AF more.

I haven't read the replies since the last time I posted but I will do that in a minute. I wanted to get everyone's opinion on this-
I have been taking Vitex for 3 months. I took Natures way vitex for 2 months and Femaprin for the past month. I am not sure if I am ovulating or not. For the past 2 months, I had EWCM on day 16. But only for one day. What does that mean to have it only one day?

When I did get pregnant with dd, I was on vitex for only 1 1/2 weeks, ovulated and got pregnant. So I am confused why I am having such a hard time this time. Or if I am even ovulating this time.

I don't know what i should do now. I could stop the vitex and go to the dr for clomid. Or I was thinking of trying a liquid mixture of herbs like this :
http://www.mountainmeadowherbs.com/f...6042b845fccfde
I know someone who got pregnant taking that.

What do you think? I hate wasting more time!

If you take your temperature, you will know if you are ovulating or not. Thats what I do, then I know whats going on with my cycle more.

Mountain Meadow Herbs Co. is excellent.

Maybe give the Femaprin a little more time???? I dont know, scince you have been on Vitex for 3 mo altogether. But Femaprin also contains Vitamin B6, so maybe give it a few more months and take your temperature, to give it a fair chance? Just my opinion, do whatever you want!

herbsgirl, are you saying to continue the femaprin because you think it is more potent that the mountain meadows stuff?
I honestly don't know what to do at this point.

Joyful, you can totally do what you want, I dont want to give someone else bad advice, thats just my opinion! On a personal note, if you are talking about the product from Mountain Meadow Herbs called
Fruitful Vine tincture, I have taken that and not had any luck ovulating, and with Femaprin, I did Ovulate. Femaprin is a standarized pharmaceutical-grade product, so you know that each time you take it, you are getting an exact "dose" so to speak, and the highest quality Vitex available.

There was a girl who tried the Nature's Way vitex and then went to Femaprin for a few months and got pregnant on this board. Her post is on this thread somewhere.

But each person is different. The main thing, I have learned to a certain extent, that if I jump around from "remedy" to "remedy" and dont take a product long enough, it doesnt work as well. That being said, each person is different, so either way you choose, Lots of baby dust to you!

Mountain Meadow herbs is a very high quality company. If you have questions about any products, call them. Ihave done that before, they are always usually very friendly, and helpful.

I am so happy that I found this thread. I was on Nature's Way Vitex since December 2008. It took 3 months to work but I got AF on MArch 24, 2009! (The first since October 2008). I love all the information you've posted about Femaprin and I just ordered mine. I will post my experiences with it on here as soon as I receive it! Thanks herbsgirl :-)

Thanks herbsgirl.
I have decided to give the femaprin a little more time. I am considering upping the dosage to 2 a day. If I do that, should I take one in the morning and one in the evening or both in morning?

I also think that I need to get my insulin resistance under control. I think I am more insulin resistant this time. I take met but I don't know if it does anything for me. It seems I have always taken met but it hasn't made much of a difference in anything. So I have started exercising. I hope that will be enough.

I think the dose most take of the Femaprin is 2 a day. I could be wrong, but I thought thats what I read. What dose of Met are you on? Maybe you need to up it. And exercise always helps. If you lose just 10% of your body weight it helps with bp, IR, Oing, and even getting and staying pg. So I think adding exercise is a great idea. Good luck!!
