The FDA has not approved the use of Femara for inducing ovulation. It has been found to cause birth defects in babies when taking while pregnant. If you take Femara BEFORE you become pregnant there is NO signs/studies of birth defects. Doctors are scared that a woman would take Femara when she didn't realize she was pregnant and come back to them for malpractice. I hope this clears up some of your confusion.
