Hey Gals I am on Cycle #2 of femara 10mg Cd 3-7 and I am now just waiting to ovulate (CD #8 today) Anyone who is on any stage of their Femara journey either taking the med, waiting to O or on the 2WW (or even thsoe of you who have concieved thanks to Femara!) hello....i am new here and new to PCOS dx nov 08....I am ttc and I was on met for a year and had nothing but terrible side effects and gained 20lbs...did 2 rounds of clomid and almost o'ed but not quite (so I was told) and then refered to a fertility specialist and since june all she has done is a bunch of tests, u/s, d&C with exploratory hysterscopy (spelling??) and then I had AF in aug and thought Yeah, maybe doing the d&c helped clean things out and set things right.....YEAH RIGHT To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ended up having a 40 day af that had to be stopped with really really strong medicine and haven't had af since........long story kind of short...I am going to be seeing a new dr in a couple of weeks and am wondering about Femera and if I should ask to try that and see if it will work for me. DOes it work like clomid? What is the difference??

TarynB- Hey sweetie, Sorry for all ur troubles. I did 3rounds of clomid and got pregnant my 3rd round and it sadly ended in a m/c at 7wks due to low progestrone and my linin was to thin. My OB referred me to an RE and my re told me that clomid can make ur lining thin and thats what made me have a m/c. And he was pissed my OB didnt put me on femara to begin with. He said Femara tends to work better for women with PCOS. and so far it has. I had no side effects but a lil sleepy. Had awesome c/m and o'd prefectly. And femara is alot like clomid but different in the some ways. But My re said that women that dont o with clomid more then likly will with femara. I would definitely give femara a try. I Love Femara compared to clomid I Wish U the best of Luck and tons of baby dust

Thanks so much for your response.....I am definately going to ask about it when I go see the new dr in 2 weeks......right now I am on cd80 and the first 40 of those I was bleeding (i know tmi) fertility friend shows no signs of O but I just finished my last dose of prometrium so af should be showing up soon.....we'll see.....maybe it will wait till I see new dr so I can start the femera right away.....
