rach-Hmm. That would be the first time I have heard to taking that many! Are you sure he didn't say two tablets? I've heard of girls taking up to 4 tablets but never ten.

lonnie-hope you guys feel better soon.

rayette-Did you O? Sorry if I missed that.

maddieb- I hope you guys have fun up at the Dells! Just keep an eye on the weather...it's supposed to snow again Sunday. Safe travels!!!

malar- I'm sorry about the bad news. will they let you do an u/s in several days to see if there is progress before canceling this cycle? There are plenty of us who are late bloomers, and don't ovulate on that pretty little timetable dr's offices use no matter what drug we're given.

kim- it's so hard not to obsess. and i find that how i'm coping or obsessing depends on where i'm at in the cycle. i hope you're feeling a little better this morning.

my_herstory- find a really really engrossing book that takes you 9 days to read but that you get completely lost in, so that by the time you're done reading it's time to poas!

patrice- good luck with your u/s today. i'm sending positive thoughts for nice plump follies!!

kelley- how great! do you have pics? enquiring minds want to know!

lonnie- OH NO!!! i'm sorry you guys got the flu. it completely sucks. i got it a week ago today, and I still ache and have a sore throat and have the headache. i hope you guys can just lie in and get some rest. i don't know about canceling an iui due to fever. i don't think they've ever asked us that? i hope it doesn't mess things up for you guys.

rach- i've never heard of taking all the meds on one day. did your re say why he does it this way?

kary05- did dh make it home for dinner? sorry you're having a time with the SC dmv. When I lived in small town IA, it was a piece of cake (just had to drive a ways). But usually I live in bigger areas, so I normally totally dread dealing with the dmv. long lines, rude people. ugh.

ttcsarah- i'm lol at your grandma's sex advice. how funny!

coop16- good luck with this cycle!

donna- are you excited about cutting your hair? my sister recently had hers cut off, and she looks like a different person.

i'm trotting along trying to feel healthy again. why do the residual effects from flu linger so long?! Dh has tomorrow off, which will be nice since he had to work all last weekend. Ds wants to go bowling so badly, has been begging every day for a week, so hopefully we'll get to do that tomorrow.

anyone doing anything fun or romantic today? we don't really do much for Vday here, so i need to live vicariously through everyone else's fun!

Good morning Ladies-

Thank you all so much for the positive words!! When I read all your posts last night it made me a bit teary to think of what a wonderful community this is. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Whitney - Today's the last day of Femara, how are you feeling?

Patrice - How did your u/s go? I agree with Kary. If you know you don't O until late in your cycle it makes sense that you would do another u/s later and hopfully your docs will agree.

Lori - Your post totally cracked me up...just what I needed!! How is the Femara going for you? Any s/e?

Kelley - Thank you for being understanding about me starting the new post. Don't worry about not being able to get to it, stuff happens and it sounds like you had a pretty crappy travel day. I just didn't want you to think I was stealing your opportunity to start a new thread. You should be so proud of yourself to donate your hair to locks of love. I am sure someone will look gorgeous walking around with a head full of beautiful red hair!

Donna - I would love to see your before and after pics when you get your hair chopped! How did you find out about how to donate? You and Kelley are motiviating me and I might just have to grow my hair out for the cause.

TTCsarah - Your grandmother sounds awesome!! Good for her that she is so willing to talk about sex! When are you planning on testing?

Becky - Welcome! When are you planning on testing?

Rach28 - I have not taken Femara that way, but I have read about it (I looked for the source where I found it, but I can't find it now). Apparently, the drug is just as effective if it is taken all at the same time vs. taking it for multiple days. Your doc might prescribe it that way to make 100% sure it is out of your system by O day.

Lonnie - I haven't heard of someone's cycle being canceled due to fever. I would think that they might go on with the IUI anyway since it is very unlikely his count would be so low as to not be productive in some way. It sounds like a good thing to try to keep his fever down. I hope you guys feel better soon!

Rayette - When do you normally O? Hopefully the achy-ness is a couple of really big follies!!

Corey - Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face! Has AF gotten here yet? How is the temping going?

Sooner - How are you doing? What CD are you on? Do you go in for the SHG tomorrow or next Friday?

I am doing much better this morning. I decided last night that I was not going to have a repeat of yesterday! I have a full day of cleaning planned and the extra exercise and a clean house should be plenty to keep my spirits up!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

kim

Sooner - I am sorry you are still getting over the flu...ick! Do you mind my asking, what MF issues are you guys dealing with? My DH has low morph and he has had one s/a where is count was very high and one where his count was pretty low...he goes back next month to see where is #s are now. What are you guys doing for the MF issues? I have DH on a really good multi vitamin, vit E, and vit C. I would love to hear if you guys are doing any more than that.

I am certifiably insane. So, I decided to look on ebay for a fetal doppler. Nope, not pregnant but I want to have one because I really believe that if it doesn't happen this month it will happen soon. anyway, DH says it's okay for me to get it so I'm happy. We're going to a Brad Paisley concert this weekend, and we're psyched about it. It's DH's first country music concert and my third. It's our V-Day present for each other as we paid a little extra for good seats with a good view.

I've been sort of quiet the last couple of days and there is NO way that I will catch up on the personals. :-)

Redhead: Nothing weird, huh? I am now 7dpo and I have a huge headache and am feeling flushed today. Hope I'm not getting sick! Also, I'm very emotional today and I have no idea why. I am wondering if it is the prometrium. Good luck, Cycle Buddy!

DH and I are going out of town this weekend to Nashville, IN. Its a cute little place with a great State Park, lots of shops and artist colonies. So, I probably won't be posting again until Sunday evening.

Hugs to everyone. I know we all have our "down days", but no matter what, it's really going to be okay.

Sorry I dropped off yesterday, but went to the bathroom yesterday morning and guess who showed up!! I was just frustrated and emotional...you all know how the story plays out. Well, I have an HSG schedule for the 21st. I am a little nervous about it. My doc told me that it increases fertility for up to 6 months. Not sure how much it increases fertility, but it seems like some girls on here have had some luck with it.

So, I am on CD2 today and once again back in the same boat. I am trying to hold it together, but kind of had a break down on Tuesday. Good thing I have a supportive husband to help me through it all. It is really hard to understand how everything can be working perfectly, but it still is not happening!!

Kim- I'm glad you're feeling better today. Infertility pain is some of the worst, because it just never goes away, never lessens. My shg is next Friday. As for mf, dh has a varicocele, but it's small enough that the urologist doesn't think it's causing big problems, but he also has extremely low volume. Actual count is better, but the morph and motility aren't great. Not abysmal, but definitely well below normal. He also has retrograde ejaculation, where a valve is malfunctioning and the sperm goes back into the bladder. For the ret.ej. , he takes pseudophedrine every 4 hrs while we're around my o dates. That makes a huge difference for that little valve (crazy, huh?). He has also cut back on caffeine (or is supposed to,

). I've tried getting him to take vitamins/supplements, but he can't seem to remember to take them more than 1 day in a row. He's a marathon runner and is extremely fit, so I don't really know what else for him to do. We added in preseed, to see if that helps at all. I actually want him to go in for another S/A to see where things are now. I might have to just get really witchy with him and insist he start taking vitamins. He's just gonna love me!

Well thanks for the luck vibes, but it didn't work. I had a several 9mm & one 10mm, so the RE said I didn't respond to the Femara. As usual when I left to go to my car, several tears fell--but the truth is I don't understand. I don't understand how I could "o" 3 times w/ Clomid switch to Femara and then "o"--6 consecutive times. And now absolutely nothing. It's the weirdest thing to me. If I had never responded I wouldn't be so dumbfounded.

Oh well Monday it will be final that this cycle is a bust. We're doing one last u/s. I'm very very discouraged (again). Not sure how to proceed w/ my life, ttc, wanting children, & my marriage. But deep down inside I know I should do the right thing & let dh be w/ a woman who can give him a child--he doesn't deserve this--and I can move on, maybe find a much older man who already has children and doesn't want anymore...hmm.

Chamber - ((HUGS)) I am so sorry about AF coming. Hopefully this cycle will be the one for you! My doc also said that the HSG increases fertility. It was uncomfortable for me, but nothing unbearable. Definitely take some Tylenol before, but don't worry too much because it isn't that bad.

kary - You are not insane...well, if you are I am as well! I am already getting our nursery ready. I haven't bought furniture or anything yet, but I have started on making some accessories like curtains and a little rug to cover a stain on the carpet. I am also buying baby stuff that is on clearance on Target. I choose to think of it as spending a little money now so I can save when the baby comes!

bobbysgirl - Have fun this weekend! Those short trips are always so nice and rejuvenating!

Sooner - Thank you for sharing! I am glad they are able to do something about DH's ret. ej. I wish there was more the doctors could do for guys with fertility issues. DH had a volume of 3 ml with 39 million per ml the first s/a and the second he had 11 million per ml, but I am not sure what his volume was the 2nd time. He spoke with the urologist's office and didn't write anything down. When I asked him why he didn't write it down he said that he didn't think the details mattered.
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Hopefully the third will be closer to the numbers he had on the first s/a. His morph is horribly low, but the Urologist said that shouldn't be a problem. I try not to worry too much about it and I continue to have faith that one of his little guys will meet up with my little egg and all will be good.

Patrice - ((HUGS)) I am so sorry that the u/s didn't go well. Hopefully things will turn around for Monday's u/s. Have you spoken with your DH yet? You have a lot of options left to try, so don't give up hope yet!! I would guess that your DH wouldn't hear of letting you leave just because you are having a hard time with TTC. Can you talk to him and get some reassurance from him?

Chamber -- SO sorry about the BFN. That really sucks. I hope you are feeling a little better today, but I know well those take days to get over.

Patrice -- Gosh, I'm really surprised. I don't understand it either. But don't give up! I said something similar to my DH once and he got really mad at me. He will love you no matter what, and you WILL have children one way or another. Have you looked into doing injectables?

Sooner -- for my DH I put all his pills in a little cup by the bathroom sink and he takes whatever I put in there at night (allergy meds, vitamins, etc). That's the only way I got him to take his vitamins consistantly. He still won't do anything that requires more than 1 a day, but this seems to work pretty well.

Kim -- glad you're feeling better today!

Rach -- I have heard of ppl taking femara like that... in fact, I think one of the graduates did that??? If so, it worked for her and she's moved on to the pg threads!

Nothing new for me. Busy day at work ahead. I'm just coasting till my CD13 u/s next Wednesday. This waiting is so tedious...

It's just that I'm in my mid-30s-biological clock is ticking loudly. DH is 5 years younger. I was married before for 5 years-that husband waited it out & nothing. I met a younger man, fell in love & thought everything would work out. And here I go again--now we've been together 5 years. It's just too much. And I feel selfish no matter what he says to try and comfort me. I also feel less than a woman & that causes different arguments/situations in our relationship. We can't afford injectibles. I'm just (getting) tired. I'm not going to feel sorry for myself today--I won't--not on V-day.

It's just not meant. Thanks for understanding as always.

Default This is so how I'm feeling...

I'm listening to "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie right now

"I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry

The path that I'm walking
I must go alone
I must take the baby steps 'til I'm full grown, full grown
Fairytales don't always have a happy ending, do they?
And I foresee the dark ahead if I stay"
