Default Femara & Clomid in the Same Cycle?

So I went to see the RE on Wednesday and he has prescribed for me to do 3 tablets of Femara on CD 3 only, a then 100 mg of Clomid on CD 3-7. I didn't write down the Femara dosage, sorry. Has anyone ever done this, and gotten a BFP?
I've never heard of it before?

The doc says the Femara will ready my body for the Clomid to work better.

I have O'd on 100 mg alone in the past but not last month, so this is what he wants to do this month

Anyone with experience?

Weird! I haven't heard of using both, but you never know what will work sometimes. Good luck and lots of BFP dust
