Default Femara / Letrozole

Good Morning Ladies!

I've done so much looking around for positive results for the use of Femara.

I have been prescribed this drug but won't start until next cycle (provided my mind doesn't change again).

A wonderful woman on FertilityFriend has posted this link for information regarding this drug, and I think this is the document that will make me change my mind of the negative aspects of this drug.

Have a look and feel free to comment!

Thanks for the link! I'm starting it, too, this next cycle. Hopefully we'll both get the bfp.

Thanks for that article. That was a great piece on Femara. I have looked all over and have just not found much on the drug.

I do know that I have not ovulated with any other drug but Femara (did 3 rounds of Clomid). I did get a BFP on my 2nd cycle with Femara, but have had a m/c.

I am ready for my cycles to resume back to "normal" and will definitely try Femara again. It seems to be my wonder drug!

I had irregular cycles all my life (started my period at age 10 and I am 33 now). However, once I started Metformin in August 2006, my cycles resumed to a "regular" cycle. My cycles ranged from 31 - 39 days apart. I do not think I was ovulating, and know for sure that I did not ovulate for three rounds of Clomid earlier this year despite the "regular" cycle. With the two rounds of Femara, I did indeed ovulate.

I love Femara. While I haven't got my BFP yet I have ovulated on it both times! Not too bad as far as side effects either. Just some hot flashes and stress headaches.

Angel.

My doctor had me do clomid first because it is still the common practice. Femara has results that appear better for pcos, though. The copay with my insurance was the same as clomid.
