Question Femara/Letrozole.. ever take it? got any info?

Hi everyone! This is my 1st time taking Femara/Letrozole.. just wondering if U have taken it. Any side effects? Any positive results? Any info??

Background on me:
Trying to get pg over 1 yr now.
Have taken one round Clomid.. cause a cyst.. so that was my 1st and last round.
Have taken tamoxiphen.. worked most mths on creating a follicle. but a couple mths a cyst was also created. So now we trying Femara/Letrozole.

It's getting frustarding that the makority of the mths the med works, a few mths it doesn't.. while a couple mths cysts were created.

thx all info would be appreciated!
Janet

congrats! i think you will like femara. i have taken it for three cycles; they all have been busts, but i think it has been due to my lack of knowledge about monitoring things better and my dr. didn't monitor me well, either. i have since educated myself very well, i switched to an RE, and will be doing my 4th cycle in the next couple weeks. but this time we are adding injections and iui to the mix. i will be monitored really well, so i am a lot more confident. the only s/e i had was headaches, but not bad at all. i get really bad headaches with prometrium, and they are ten times worse than femara ones! and there are a lot of pregnancies on soulcysters from taking femara, so i wish you lots of luck!!! have you ever had an hsg to check for blockage? i will say this, my hsg was all clear, but if i would've had any blockage at all, i feel that my taking femara would've been a waste. if you haven't had an hsg, and have been ttc for awhile, i would definately request to have one done. if you have blockage, it needs to be cleared so that you aren't wasting money on meds, kwim? good luck and lots of baby dust your way!!!

Default Femara

This is my first month using Femara and I didn't have any side effects. The only thing that I noticed was when we were BD'ing I felt a littel more sensitive than normal down there. I am in the waiting phase right now, so I'm not sure whether I'm going to do another round. Seemed pretty easy for me this month. Good Luck to you!

Well I have finished my 5 days of Femara/Letrozole and the the dr is monitoring me. Due to the Femara/Letrozole I created 3 folli's (2.2cm, 1.7cm, 1.5cm). I'm suprised that I "took" to th med so well. I ovulated on my own. So it's a wait and see game.

If I don't get pg this mth.. the dr suggsted since my body responed to the med so well, I may try the med next mth.

thx for all your support

janet
