Femara/Letrozole questions!....please

hi ladies

im ttc #2, had #1, thanks to metformin, but doesnt seem to have the same effect this time round!

my questions are:

im going to take femara, prescibed via my gp,
how much did you take?...or whats the recommened dose?

and why is it, some take it days 3-7, and some days 5-9???

i did clomid years ago, to no avail, im on 2550mg of metformin!
af shows up every now and then, so hopefully i can start femara nect time she shows!

After 8 failed rounds of Clomid, I switched to Femara.

I took 5mg of Femara on cd 3-7. I was not taking Met since I am not IR.

I highly recommend Femara, and will gladly take it again when we are ready for ttc#3.

My 2nd cycle resulted in dd#2!!!

Just wanted to respond that Femara seems to be working for me too.

I also got PG with #1 on met, but this time TTC #2, it didn't do anything for me. My RE quickly switched me to Femara, and I am currently on my 3rd 30 day cycle, o'ing at exactly day 16 each time. We haven't been successful yet, but the Femara seems to be doing it's job.

I am trying to get a doc to prescribe me femara in minnesota. But no luck @ this point. I am going to see a regular endo hoping maybe she will prescribe me it but i have my doubts. Because she isnt an RE just a regular endo.
But i know that alot of woman have more luck with femara. Do any of you have any articles you have found on the internet or anything?

My Infertility Dr is putting me on 2.5mg of Femara next cycle.
My question is that I have never took this and I was wanting to know what type of side effects it may have and how does it work?
Do you take it like you would clomid? I did 6 cycles on clomid and did O` but only had my highest folly at 1.8cm. So what is different about femara verses clomid? If anyone can please help me I would appreicate it.

I am really new with all of this but I will share what I know....

I was placed on 2.5 Mg of Femara on cycle day 3-7. The RE said that Femara was having the same type of results as Clomid on with less of the side effects. Also it has a short life so it does not stay in your system the was clomid may. I had ovarian drilling done as a first option to treatment in August and just completed my first cycle of Femara. On cd 12 I went for ultrasound and discovered one follicle measuring 19 1/2. I was triggered on this day. Now I am in the 2ww so I don't know if it has worked but it would appear that the meds are doing exactly what it was supposed to do. By the way....I had no side effects from the Letrozole at all.

Thank you for the infomation. I wasn`t to sure how this medicine worked. The only side effects I had was some hot flashes. I`m on cycle day 7 and will take my last pill tonight. Good luck I hope it works for both of us.

Hello ladies, this probably is a bad question but please bare with me. I to am trying to conceive and the clomid just wasn't working for me. My progesterone level was .2. I have been hearing a lot about this femara and I was wanting to know if ones weight would play a role in the way medication works. I do excersie and I don't know if I'm coming or going. I need help.
