I've just started a round of Clomid, but given that I have low oestrogen I don't expect it to work. I've read on here about the benefits of Femara, but when i mentioned it to my consultant she hadn't heard of it.
Has anyone on here persuaded a doctor in the UK to prescribe it for PCOS?

I tried to get my fertility doc to give me femara. She said "You spend to much time on the internet!!" She told me it's not licensed here. Some people have got it online though. I had considered it if clomid had not have worked eventually.

yeah femara isnt licsenced in the UK and also the use of progesterone isnt common, is there is increasing evidence that using this, doesnt help sustain the pregnancy, if the progesterone isnt there from the beginning then the pregnancy isnt sustainable at the start due to poor egg quality and the luteus corpum not being strong enough to sustain the pregnancy, they are the two major differences in fertility treatment in the UK and US
