Default Femara and vaginal bleeding?

So, this is my first month of femara 5mg days 3-7. It's CD11 now, and I'm still bleeing. Not big blood, but rather brownish and sometimes a bit of bright red. What's going on? I NEVER go past 5 days on my period. Anyone else experience this?

I'll probably be trying femera next month so I wanted to kinda stalk to see what kind of answers you get. I actually had a visit from AF this month that wasn't medicated and it lasted forever. It was very light, but just went away yesterday (CD9).

I used Femara this past cycle...I had a super long AF for me that lasted until CD7. Mine are always 3-5 days long. I had a tiny bit of brown spotting on CD8/9 too! So it has to be the Femara and from what I had read it is normal.

I hope this is your month...I am still waiting to see if mine worked out or not... I hope so. -Terra

Sorry...I forgot to update. I went in for my CD13 u/s and they said the bleeding was definitely a side effect of femara....only happens in about 1-2% of patients. Lucky me, I'm one of those 1-2%. Anyway, they said I had no follices greater than 5mm, so they called this a failed cycle. We will be moving onto injectables next. I'll wait till CD35 and if I haven't started yet, I'll take provera to get a new cycle started. I can't wait....they said I'll more than likely contiue with the spotting till I start a new cycle and that can't get here soon enough for me. Femara was certainly NOT the drug for me.

Strange thing is....my last pregnancy we conceived on 100mg clomid alone...one try and ovulated perfectly. This time around, the PCOS has gotten that much worse. It's just unbelievable. I don't have a weight issue nor do I have insulin resistance. My body is just so messsed up with the hormones it's not even funny.

I'm anxious to try injectables but scared to death of multiples or triggering with more than one egg. We're trying just timed intercouse with our injectables vs IUI mainly because of insurance.

Anyone know if there is a thread here that deals with injectables? I haven't explored enough yet to see it
