Anyone have any experience with this BCP? I'm supposed to start taking it on Sunday but have had horrible emotional side effects w/other BCPs. Any input is much appreciated!
i took femcon for 3 months. it didn't make me an emotional wreck, but it did make my appetite go crazy-even though i take concerta! (it's like adderall) the upside was that the AFs on femcon were fantastic-always exactly 5 days long, very light, and mild cramping only on the first day. and it made my boobs bigger than i ever expected them to be. the only reason i switched to yaz was because i had gotten on the pill for being a hairy ape woman and the femcon wasn't seeming to help much with that.
I loved Femcon! I was on it for 5 or 6 months after my son was born. It made me regular and I didn't have any crazy PMS or other side effects. I tried to take Yaz before the Femcon and I had really late periods and breakthrough. I hated it!

I've been on femcon for a little over 3 weeks, I have had nagging cramps- nothing to make me double over but they are getting old. I have been spotting/bleeding for a week now and just started my placebo pill. But- it has only been one month, or not even since I've started taking it. I believe things will start to even out. My body is so out of whack! But I will say my moods are muuuuch better! I can actually stand to be around myself
I meant to add- the nurse practitioner that saw me at the doc office said with this pill, I should take magnesium and a vitamin B complex. I've done some research on this and it seems that this should be helpful- esp. with any symptoms we may experience. I'm guilty of not taking it yet but I am going to start. Hopefully that little bit of info will be helpful. There are a lot of benefits to taking those supplements- i.e. helps absorb calcium, supports healthy nervous system, and helps your heart and muscles. I believe I read somewhere about femcon- that it inhibits calcium and vit. B absorbtion. So yeah I hope that info is helpful!
