I have tried just about any form of BCP you can imagine. It would always start with a medium dosage bill, then I would get migraines because of the hormone level. So the doctor would bring me down in dosage and then it would no longer help regulate my hormones as it should. My newest doctor, the one who knows what he's talking about put me on FemCon, a little "CHEWABLE" BCP that has the taste of Peptobismol and its a higher dosage BCP. I no longer get the nausea or migraines..what a relief..from a chewable birth control pill...who da thunk it?

That sounds very interesting. But I heard you still have to drink 8oz. water with it after chewing, is that true? If so, it is a wonderful idea for women who cannot swollow pills (I know of many) but not really good for anything else.
BTW I absolutly LOVE the taste of Pepto lol. mmmm

I am on my third day of Femcon and I love it. I was taking Aviane and have been suffering with a burning tongue for 4 years. After being dxed with hypothyroid and still burning, the burning started in my urethea also. I found a source that suggested it can be due to a low estrodial level, BCPs can cause it. So I asked for one with more estrogen and was given Femcon and so far, the burning everywhere has stopped. I think I must be going through menopause!
Good luck,

I just switched from Yaz to this Femcon-Fe and i have the worst nausea and wooziness sometimes i feel like i want to fall out. The reason I got switched from the Yaz is that my period never ended it lasted for 49 days and thank goodness this femcon worked or else i don't know what i would've done. I just don't know if this nausea is supposed to be caused by the new pill. if you have any info i would greatly appreciate it.
Yes, a higher estrogen pill can cause nausea and it usually goes away within 3 months. Femcon-Fe has 35mcg of estrogen and is on the higher side as far as estrogen levels go.
