Default Fertility Friend vs. Taking Charge of Fertility

Okay, I've been using Fertility Friend to help me chart, but because I have the Taking Charge of Your Fertility (TCOYF) book, I decided to purchase that software. What a difference! I'm not sure which one to trust. TCOYF says I haven't ovulated yet this month, but FF says I have.

I know a lot of women on this site use FF, but has anyone used TCOYF and had similar experiences? I supposed I should wait until the end of my cycles (if it ever comes) to determine which one is correct. I'm on CD 35. FF says I ovulated on CD30, which means that (if my cycles follows any pattern) I should see AF in about 8-10 days. TCOYF says no ovulation as yet (although I did have a teeny, tiny bit of EGCM around CD 28-29, and I had really watery CM around that time as well.) And, FYI - my temp went from 97.3 on CD29, to 98.0 on CD30, then back to 97.7 for two days, then up to 98.2, and 98.0 today. I don't trust my body, but I'm not sure I trust these programs either.

Does anyone have any recommendations about this? I'd really appreciate getting some feedback.

I've used both and I *love* the TCOYF software. I found on the cycles where they were different that FF was the one that was wrong. Just my experience though.

Just out of curiousity today I downloaded the trial software from tcoyf and compared it to my ff and they were the same. The paper chart I use at home is a copy from the back of the tcoyf book, maybe thats why. Although, I like the graphics on tcoyf better
