Default Fertility Specialist in Michigan?

Hi. I live in Fenton, MI, and am willing to drive about 50 miles to a good fertility specialist. Anyone know of one? I just decided to quit seeing my fertility specialist in Southfield, MI, and I need a new one. Thanks!!

Hi -
I have tried to do tremendous research on RE's and I can give you a small list of the ones who seem to be most recommended based on friends and word of mouth. Keep in mind though that I have found both very positive and very negative experiences about each of these doctors on various internet sites...I have been in the IF world for 5 years (and have had success) and have found it very hard to get a good recommendation because there are such polarizing opinions about these docs. It is amazing because I cannot find any information or opininons on any other type of doctor I have been too. IF is very emotional for sure. My husband has been in medical sales for years and also has done some of his own research and these are the ones who come up time and time again also(I have not listed them in any particular order)
1. Dr. Michael Mersol-Barg, Birmingham, MI
-Center for Reproduction Medicine and Surgery
2. Dr's Keye/Miller/Wolf, Troy, MI (not far from I-75)
-RMA of Michigan
3. IVF of Michigan, Rochester Hills, MI
-also known as Midwest IVF (web page is under this name)
4. Dr's Brinton/Maximovich, Bloomfield Hills, MI
-Advanced Reproductive Medicine and Surgery

All of these doctors have websites and if you google, you should be able to find easily. I have only been to Mersol-Barg so I cannot tell you anything about the rest of them. I do know that Dr. Keye is world-renowned and used to run the Center for Conception at Beaumont before the hospital closed it down in 2006. Again, these are only the ones that I have found that come up time and time again for southeast MI. Unfortunately, I cannot offer an opinion on every one since I have not been. Hope this helps!

This is really late, but IVF of Michigan has an office in Flint which would probably be a lot closer for you. Dr. Aubzeid comes recommended from my BFF as well as a few other girls on my other msg board. I haven't been to him personally, though.

Thank you for the responses. I am now seeing Dr. David Magyar in Clinton Twp. He was one of the first doctors in Michigan to perform a successful IVF. So far I am very impressed with him and feel very confident!
