Default fess up do you always take your met

Ok I am not good at taking my met 3 times a day and I go out some weekends and if I drink I don't take my met for the whole day. How good are you at taking met every day. If you are like me and forget a pill some times or 3 so you can go out drinking do you get AF. I have been on it for 3 months still have not got AF.

Well I take Metformin XR so I take all three pills at night before bed. I am normally really good about taking it! But there are days that I have forgotten.. And if I drink that day I will not take them either. I normally drink maybe 4 times a year if that so that doesnt happen very often. But for some reason I dont think Metformin is helping me anymore to get AF at first yes sometimes it did but then times like these nope nadda and I have taken everyday for months now...

nope- I "forget" a lot. I think it's because I hate the Met so much. I've been on since Dec. slowly going up to 1500mg and 1500 is the worst. My body seemed to be able to handle 1000 w/o too many GI S/e but not 1500.

The only time I didn't take the Met was when I had the flu. Other than that, I've been doing great, but... its been less than a month since I started taking the meds, so we'll see!

Default I forget...

I am supposed to be on 1500 mg per day of Gluc XR (generics made me weird) but I can't tolerate it. I take one tab, 750 mg. If I can't stop puking on 1500, it's no good for me to try to bump up to 1500, you know? I don't take *exactly* at the same time daily, but I try. I have to take it with food anyway, to try and reduce the existing nausea.

Now my spiro or vitamins, I forget them constantly.

I'm pretty good at taking it. Although I do sometimes forget (like yesterday) Last month I forgot 3 pills. (I write the day on each pill so I will remember to take them). I dont drink all that much but I have drank alcohol on Met (to the point of getting tipsy) and have had no side effects whatsoever. I've been having regular AF for the past 10 months. This month its late. Which sucks big time as I was doing really well.

I take fortamet and I only have to take 1 1000mg pill a day so it is pretty easy to remember. I just take it when I take my prenatal and zoloft before bed.

wheni had the flu, i went down to one pill a day...but i'm happily taking 4 ech day with no problems other than timing....i'm never able to stick to the 4-6 hours between pills, sometimes it goes to 9-12 hours, but i still take them.

I'm taking 1500mg XR and I forget alot ...is it possible to take the XR all at one time at night? Is it still as effective? I think it would be a lot easier....I'm always forgetting!

I have to take Met 3x/day and it is REALLY hard to remember the second two pills. I was on BCP for years along with daily vitamins, so I have no trouble remembering the morning dose.
It sucks trying to remember the second two doses, especially when I'm at work. I have a carrying case in my pocketbook too, so I utilize that regularly.
As far as alcohol goes, I'm not much of a drinker, so I don't really miss it...
Any tips you come up with would be good to hear!

haha, me too. I found an ancient met pill in the jacket pocket of my spring jacket that I just took out since winter is coming to an end. Ick!
I am really good about taking my met. I won't take it if I'm drinking which is about twice a year so it is not too bad... except that I won't take it tomorrow b/c I'll be drinking tomorrow and I won't take in two weeks b/c I'm going to LA.
