My DD came from an FET. My protocol was a little unusual because, well, I ended up being a little unusual. For the FET, they started me on Lupron. I kept going in for monitoring but I could get my lining thick enough (7 was the highest I got). I never had a problem during the IVF. Long story short, we ended up cancelling 2 FET cycles because we couldn't get a good lining even with estrogen support. Since I had no problems with the IVF stims cycle, my RE decided to do a "mock" IVF cycle. I followed the same stim cycle as my IVF (Gonal F, Ganerelix and Ovidrel). My lining thickened right up. They had me trigger but then just not do a retrieval. I waited for what would have been a day 5 transfer and then transfered in the frosties.
In my case, we ended up finding out that I'm one of the rare people that Lupron suppresses EVERYTHING. That's why my lining wouldn't grow. My RE had only seen 1 other person that it's happened to. Lucky me!
I realize that's not why your having it done, but it's not unheard of to use a trigger. If anything, by using it, they'll be sure that you've ovulated so they can go forward with the transfer.
Good luck with your frosties!!
