I just wanted to update my post. I take organic cinnamon that I also use in my cooking...1/2 tsp twice a day and sometimes 3 times a day. I just sprinkle it in my hand...toss it back...and follow with water...but I like cinnamon so it isn't a problem.
What I can say is that it has truely helped with my moods and blood sugar. Sometimes I can tell that my blood sugar is off (although testing it will be about 100) because my vision becomes blurred and I will use cinnamon to rebalance things...my vision immediately clears up and I immediately become calmer! Also, it has been extremely difficult for me to lose weight but since starting the cinnamon my clothes are much looser!
Someone was asking about cinnamon and periods and it can stop your periods...and shouldn't be used during pregnancy in high doses!
I hope everyone tries this because it is an excellent supplement and spice!
