Default a few ?`s about xenical!!????

hi

ill try and be quick, but basically, i have been offered xenical by my gp, and i have taken the prescription, in fact i have just taken my first pill, after dinner!

i would like to know:
if you have taken xenical, how much weight loss did you have in what time span??

i know that they can give off the same effects as metformin, in the loo department, but do you get any notice, in needing to empty your bowels???if you get my drift, i dont wanna poop myself!!

is there anyone that is taking xenical, while taking metformin?
have you noticed an increase in weight loss, while taking with met??, compared to without met?

i do have alot more questions, but i have forgotten, ill come back again, when i remember!!

many thanks

gina

a quick breifing on me:
concieved within 6 months on met, as well as losing quite alot of weight, in the first 2 months, on 1000mg....stopped taking met at 31 weeks, baby was born 32 weeks, resumed met when baby was 6 months old, no weight loss, no periods, gp put my dose of met upto 850mg 3x a day...still no loss, only gain, and no periods!!!

so today she offered me xenical...

just thought of another question!!

is it the case that every meal you have, say breakfast, take pill, then poop, lunch, pill, poop, dinner, pill and then poop....or is it that you may only poop once a day??

cheers

gina

If this is the same medication that I was RX from my MD, then you will possibly find a symptom called "anal leakage".

Basically, when you take it...(before or after a fatty meal) the fat is expelled and has a consistency of pure oil. Because of its consistency, it has a habit of just "sliding" out of your anal cavity.

If I were you, I'd probably wear a panty liner or something to protect your clothes if this were to occur.
