There are many cysters here with fibroids (they're common in women, generally speaking, and women with PCOS are even 'more' likely to have them.)
The source of your twinges should be determined by your doctor (it could be from a number of issues), but before I had my fibroids surgically removed, I would get twinges from time to time.
As for problems, your doctor might be taking a 'wait and see' attitude to see if your grow.
