What a totally amazing day!!!!!! We were scheduled be go before the judge at 8:50 a.m. this morning. We didn't go into the courtroom until 9:33 a.m. I remember looking at the digital clock on the judges bench and thinking WOW!!
It all went pretty quickly, I of course started crying as soon as our attorney started asking me the questions for court, like understanding Billy will be considered and entitled to the same things as if he was a "natural" child. Billy stoled the show when the attorney asked he is all of this was okay and he loudly and proudly said YES. He was smiling from ear to ear the whole time.
After several pictures and getting the Decree we left court and went to have our very first Official Family picture taken.
We then went to have a celebration lunch and then just spent a quiet afternoon together. We have a adoption party planned for a couple weeks from now.
BIlly just keeps telling us that he is soooo happy. I think I have gotten more hugs and I love you's today then any other in the last year.
We are already talking about doing this again, all the hills and delays forgotten at least in the moment.
God blessed us with such a wonderful Son and we are so thankful. To all who are thinking about adopting GO FOR IT!!!.
