I went to my regular clinic today for refills on my blood pressure medicines. I saw a new nurse practitioner (sp?) that I had never seen before. She looked me over for 1 minute and stepped back and announced, "You have Insuline Resistance and PCOS."
I almost fainted!"I've been telling my doctors that for years and none of them believed me!" I sputtered out. I couldn't talk fast enough. She and I were both talking at the same time about my symptoms etc. She is going to do a full blood sugar screening on me. Maybe I can finally get some help!

Gotta love those nurse practioners. I think it's because they actually spend some time with you that they tend to get it right. At least that's been my experience.

Aren't they the greatest. I'm glad you found one who knew what was going on... Mine got dinner out of my doc for solving what was wrong with me hehehehe I've found that they listen to Nurse Practitioners and hopefully treatment will start for you.
