Today I finally got Metaformin from my doctor. He is putting me on it for 3 months and then we are going to do kidney and liver screenings to check I am okay.

It's quite scary really! Any advice?

DX Febuary 2002 after miscarriage
TCC for 6 years.........DH very very happy bunny.
Was on 1000mg of Gluc XR +vitex pre natal vitamins but stop taking in 2006 as it was doing nothing for me.

High Blood Pressure and now on drugs for this.

Hi there, Im from Cheshire and I am on day four of Glucophage (it says Glucophage in huge letters on the box with Metformin in little letters so I guess theyre kinda the same....Im on 1500 a day and so far have lost around 3 or 4lbs and am thrilled, I go back in 3 months too x

Diagnosed with type II diabetes 29/12/06
2000mg Metformin daily
Folic Acid ~ 5mg p/d ~ Higher than the usual.

my doctor says she might put me on met but i have to wait to see another doctor first is met better then the pill as the pill dont seem to help me
