finally a period! my story...
found out i had pcos about 2 years ago. started metformin a year ago, started to work, got my period, then it stopped again. i went to see my dr and she suggested i go back on the pill... which i disagreed with.
after struggling to lose weight with jenny craig i decided to look into some alternative therapies.
i tried kinesiology, very interesting. in the first session it came up that i was low in magnesium and iodine. reading up on magnesium, there's a strong link with low magnesium and pcos.
second session she pressed the pressure points for my ovaries which were on my calfs. it hurt so much! she held the points until the pain subsided. she also recommended i take tissue salts for cleansing.
so i was now taking, magnesium, 2x flax seed oil capsules, 1x milk thistle, 2x cleansing tissue salts in the morning and 3x metformins (i'm scared to stop taking met) at night and 2x tissue salts.
and three days later i got my period! yay, i'm so happy. i'm feeling so much more energetic and healthier too.
i just moved house, so have relied on junk food a lot, but i'm getting back in the habit of healthier food and limiting sugar and carbs. also need to start taking apple cider vinegar in the mornings too.
but all in all, i really recommend the kinesiologist, she really listened to me and was so happy in her recommendations. so simple, yet so effective.
thanks for reading my rant! |
