Default FINALLY took the Met!

I finally took the Met. I picked up the prescription in July. Here we are 4 months later. I was just way too scared of the side effects. It has been 1 hour and so far so good lol. If the side effects are going to kick in, when do they happen? The first day? Several days later? I am starting with 500mg for one week, then I'll up it to 1000mg. I also started the IR Diet today.

I am taking Glucophage XR if that helps.

With the pill you are taking you should have little side effects. The regular Met, non-XR is harder on they system. Most people have the worst symptoms the first few days, inclduing the very first day. I have found that if I skip a dose or two I'm right back to square one with symptoms. I had Met. food aversion for a long time, but it's about gone now. My doc said it wasn't a worry. Glad you decided to start the meds
