is anyone else on finasteride ( for sorting out the too much hair problem), and how have they got on, ie how long to see results and things?

Hi Leila,

I'm on finasteride (Proscar). I was having severe hairloss problems and I swear: as from day 1 the shedding stopped! My endo told me it would work for my acne as well, but I don't see much results in that department. As for xs hair: I only have mild hirutism, but I do notice it is a lot better on Proscar (same effect as Diane 35 for me). The hairs on my legs are less in amount and less coarse, but I still have to wax my upper lip every 2,3 weeks.
Finasteride is worth trying as it doesn't have any side effects, but you have to wait 3-6 months to see real results.
