I took my first yoga class last week and loved it. I made it known to my instructor that I was a yoga virgin and she took the extra time to help me with my poses. I thought I would be self conscious (I'm shy, too!) but as we went on with the class, I began to concentrate just on myself and actually forgot about everyone else there. It was a great experience, would highly recommend it!

Default Shy girl too!

I'm too shy too, to go to a class. I bought the Just My Size Yoga video and have tried it out at home. I like it ok, since I dont really know much about yoga. Maybe I'll one day work up the nerve to go to a class. That will be my goal for the year, to actually get to a class!

Do you know what type of yoga you'd like to try?

I like "Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga" with Nicki Doane. It's put out by Gaiam Living Arts.

I also suggest that you sign yoga DVDs out from the library....see if they're your style, and level...and then buy the ones you like.
