Post The Firm Tapes/pilates?

Hi all...

Well I did it....I bought the IR book and it looks really do-able for me. I am starting today. Wish me luck!

As far as working out - I have both "The Firm" videos and "Windsor Pilates" tapes. I have heard alot of good about Pilates but nothing about The Firm. I was thinking of combining them...like, Pilates 20 mins in the morning then maybe The Firm videos after work. The firm combines cardio and weights.

I really really want to loose this weight. I tried Adkins and it absolutely didnt work for me. After reading all the stories on here and checking out IR - I think I can do it this time.

Thanks for being there with support and advice....I really love this site!!!

I know this thread is kind of old, but I hate to start a new one wasting space.. :o

Ok.. Well, I would love to buy the firm but I have bad knees... When I watch the informercial, all I see is a lot of moves that would cause me knees to call me names.. My local Target store in Edina MN has the set tapes and fanny lifter on clearance for $59.99 I stood there looking at it calling me for a long time, but my knees kept whispering to me to.. The last time I was weighed, my doctor said Iweighed 167, I must have gained more since.. I use to weight 273, and no that was not the reason why my knees are bad.. It's just an inherited discomfort..

I am so wiggly and jiggly, and would like to firm up.. but it seems there is no knee friend firming up exercises out there.

Denise..

Default Pilates

Hey "Friend"....

I dont think the "Firm" would be knee friendly but....

I do think that the Pilates tapes are definately knee friendly. Windsor Pilates tapes are great....Maybe you should try those first and see where that leads you...

Take care and good luck..
