First appointment with RE!

I've been hemming and hawing about finding a new doctor and starting to get some questions answered on PCOS and the hormone issues that I've been having with my current birth control (OrthoEvra). Today I set an appointment with a new doctor who deals with reproductive endocrinology. The lady on the phone was super helpful and explained how things are billed to insurance and how I can use the doctor as my regular gyno while we're not trying to have a kid and in the future he can help with reproductive issues.

The lady threw around the word infertility like it was her job, which was kind of odd, but overall I'm pretty confident that I'll get a lot of questions answered at this appointment. They'll do a transvaginal ultrasound so I'll have an idea of what those ovaries are looking like!

I'm kind of excited. Is that weird?

i love my appts so no its not weird at all..its depressing to find out that it didnt go well..but usually im a bundle of excitement the day before my appts..i duno something about moving forward for better or worse..its just exciting..and its exciting to finally get the help u need and to get closer to what u really want..so no its not weird at all...good luck

write down everything..i tend to forget my qs in all the excitement

Here's my short list of questions so far, please help me add some?

1. When should I have a HSG test for blockage?
2. How do I find out if I'm IR or not?
3. I've only been hormone tested once and it was during a length spell with no AF? Should I be re-tested at a specific point in my cycle?
4. What BCP would he recommend for now (Ortho Evra is not working for me!)?
5. Do we have a better chance TTC our first months off of the pill or later?
6. Should I go off the pill now and use some other form of hormone to regulate AF and use barrier methods of BC until we're ready to TTC?

Thoughts?
