First appointment with RE! I've been hemming and hawing about finding a new doctor and starting to get some questions answered on PCOS and the hormone issues that I've been having with my current birth control (OrthoEvra). Today I set an appointment with a new doctor who deals with reproductive endocrinology. The lady on the phone was super helpful and explained how things are billed to insurance and how I can use the doctor as my regular gyno while we're not trying to have a kid and in the future he can help with reproductive issues.
The lady threw around the word infertility like it was her job, which was kind of odd, but overall I'm pretty confident that I'll get a lot of questions answered at this appointment. They'll do a transvaginal ultrasound so I'll have an idea of what those ovaries are looking like!
I'm kind of excited. Is that weird?
