Hi there, o canada. I do understand your worry, do talk to your DH re his feelings re IVF, I know it's hard coz you want to be positive or can get the 'cross that bridge when...' approach when you try and talk through.
My hubby had to have his SA test before we started treatment, it came back 'ok' stubborn man had another go, when he was feeling much better and guess what, a much better result! Reassuring and proved to me that mens hormones must be as sensitive as us women!!!!

I'm on my 2nd Clomid cycle now.....fingers crossed

Thanks Mikka! I know that we'll have to have to talk sooner or later. I just worry the response won't be what I want. We have our next RE appointment in two weeks (hopefully they will be able to give us the SA results then, though the lab has said it will be 3 weeks).

I imagine they'll be able to tell us what options we have, and we'll be able to give those a go. Perhaps up the dose of clomid for the next few cycles and see what happens.

I hope that we have options.

Hi Canada,

Thats a shame they won't have your DH's results at your appointment.
How are you doing apart fomr that? Are you on half term at present?

Just checking in to see how everyone is, keeping a low profile for a few weeks,. I am now in 2WW and my chart looks pretty so you never know. $th cycle of clomid for me and I took 150mg. I also took it days 5 to 9 to see if it makes a difference. Will let you know one way or another!

Hope you are all well, I have been ebaying some old clothes, well actually new clothes that I have not worn, hoping to make a few pennies. It is a bit tedious though.. Only 5 more itmes to go!!

Catch up with you all again soon.

Hi there Wendy, Had a look at your cycle calender and its more or less the same as mine, a nice pattern, feels too good to be true but I am keeping my fingers crossed for us! I am 8 DPO but daren't test yet...will wait till my period due date next week, I have one PTK left......

How are you O Canada, not heard from you for a while? I know its hard if you feel like you've nothing new to say, actual new news, lots of new thoughts though - it is good to chat through sometimes, not all the time though, we don't want to get obsessed do we!!!? Chin up everyone - take care

Hi Wendy, Mikka, other girls who might still be about.

Wendy - Yes, I'm on half-term holiday at the minute and loving it. It was so busy these past few weeks with exams, SATs and performances. So the week off is doing me well. It's Dh and my anniversary tomorrow, so that should be nice. He's off work at present because he's recently had to go into hospital for surgery. He's starting to feel better so we should be able to have a nice evening meal.
Your chart looks great by the way! Fingers crossed for you!

Mikka- Not a lot of new news. Though I hope to have some on Thursday after my appointment with the RE. I'm hoping that my consultant is as good as the one I saw who was standing in for her in her absence last time. Really hoping that she's going to continue with the clomid and up it in the next round. I worry that she won't continue the scrip without Dh's SA results. If that's the case it will be another three months before I can see her again, and I'll still be in Canada for my summer hols at the time. So really just waiting about for appointments and results. I'll let you know what's up when there's something worth reading.

Good luck to you both for this cycle. I've resigned myself to not Oing until I'm back on the clomid but hopefully I will be able to join you girls again soon.

Hi Mikka,

I was going to have a look at your chart to do an overlay ( I'm geeky lol) but It just takes me to your ticker???
Anyway My chart was looking pretty but huge dive this morning!!
I am with you on the testing, I have seen so many stark white tests I can hold out now till AF arrives ( well sometimes!!)

I am 2 days behind you so I will keep checking in to see how you are doing.

Lucky you with the half term holiday!! I am jealous.

Oh Happy Anniversary to you and your DH today. How long have you been married?

I hope you DH is on the road to recovery and enjoy your meal.

They might give you more Clomis, especially as they will have evidence that it did make you O. However in my case I wasn't given it till they had done all the diagnostic testing on both myself and DH. But fingers crossed, I reckon 100/150mg and you might hit the jackpot!!!

Back to work for me today, so have a great day ladies.

Sian, that's great news. I hope that the cycle stays regular for you.

So, I'm off to the RE tomorrow. I'm really nervous. I don't know why I should be, I don't think they'll have any new information for me. I really hope that they give me an increased dosage on the clomid.

I'll keep you posted.

Hi Ladies
Went for my RE appt today, told my p4 levels 9DPO were really good, 100 (not sure what unit of measure is??) - needs to be above 25 to sustain pregnancy I am told - news to anyone? But, he did another PTK, I did one yesterday and though very faint (dreaming possibly!) todays was definitely negative BUT could be too early as only 10DPO I was told..I feel like AF is due any day, but some good news, I suppose.

Lets keep each other posted - good luck tomorrow Canada

Well... that was a sh*tty appointment!

Not only would she not give me the results from my husband's SA, she wouldn't give me more clomid until I've lost weight. She did say that DH's results were poor, and when I prodded she said that natural conception would be unlikely. (Not to mention that I'm not producing eggs, and won't be because they refuse to give me the meds to do so).

Instead she's put me on Orlistat/Xenical. I'm frustrated. Sad. Overwhelmed that I have to lose 50pounds before they'll even talk to me about the possibility of getting pregnant. She told me I'd have to change my lifestyle... I work out 5-6 hours a week and I teach drama (not exactly an inactive job), I go to WeightWatchers, and I eat organic whole foods!!! I'd like to know what exactly is wrong with my lifestyle other than the fact that I have PCOS!!!! ARGH!!!

See its Dr's like her that really make me mad!!!! It's so easy to send us on our way and tell us to lose weight. Don't they realise having PCOS makes it harder to lose it?

I am very dissapointed for you as I felt for sure they may have given you a higher dose of Clomid to just see how you got on, even a good Ovulatuion on it would have had a positive impact and probably helped you in losing more weight for the future if you ever have to go down the IVF route.

I have been on Xenical, It's ok as long as you don't eat too much fat, it helped me lose 2 stone, but when I stopped taking it the weight went back on But whatever you do make sure your near a toilet..... If you do eat a bit too much of something.

So she reckons your DH's SA is not good but can't tell you the results? WTF!!! I would ring them every week now until you get them, no wonder a lot of Cysters end up going private, the NHS sure sucks sometimes!!

Thinking of you, hope your not too down after today.
